Info on IT pain pump

Hi I am new here but not new to pain. I am now looking at an IT pain pump with prialt. Both are scarey to me. I have some as yet not clearly diagnosed full body burning pain which all my docs call nerve pain. My neuro thinks it may be rare crps that can occur without traumatic injury. Anyway this pain has been taking over my body for 2 years. Been essentially bedridden the last year. No drug worked anticonvulsant or opiate. I did 10 day outpatient ketamine to no effect. I need much needed advice. Thank you. Allwrightann

Hi Allwrightann!

Welcome!

I am so sorry you are going through this horrible pain battle. As soon as you mentioned that you have full body crps, I immediately thought of one of our members here who is very knowledged in this. His user name is 'glenntaj' and you'll see him mostly in the Peripheral Neuropathy forum. He developed full body PN. If you start a thread at the PN forum regarding full body PN I'm sure he'll pounce on it with some very intelligent insight. Or just click on his name and go to his visitor page and post a 'visitor message'. PN and CRPS/RSD are alike in so many ways as far as the familiar 'burning pain', both are nerve related (neuropathy), and both are complicated and difficult to diagnose in many cases.

Another thing you can try as you wait for responses is use the 'search' feature, type in full body rsd, full body pn, etc. It will bring up posts discussing this.
Also, there is an RSD forum (if you haven't found it already) FULL of great people who are battling this.

As far as the pain pump you are considering, I will include some links you can click on which will take you to other members' posts here at NT who have testimonies to share.
