Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa - Cali

Have to share this with all
I heard of The Lake Arrowhead Resort and spa on the radio going to therapy.
MILLION $$$$ RENOVATION

Took my hubby here for his BD selfishly this last week knowing it would be a calm and relaxing stay for the both of us.

O, you guys
It was amazing for us.
An hour drive and we are up above the clouds, sunny and cool.
Perfect for my internal thermometer.
Perfect for Phil’s blood pressure.

Reserved a "Spa Suite" which came with a spa treatment of our choice each day.
So, we ended up paying $65 for our room.
Get this; we had a corner suite facing southwest with a balcony, large slider & corner window.
The spa room housed a large walk-in shower with jets and a separate spa tub with a large picture window overlooking the lake and plasma on the wall.
A separate room housed a granite double sink, closet and toilo.
Spacious.

This room was awesome overlooking the lake, trees, pool, and sunsets.
The balcony had a 1/2 moon table & 2 stools to sit out
The bedroom & sitting room was newly decorated in all new rich chocolate "Zen" colors with 2 lounge chaises.
Phil’s Fav…a 35” plasma.
The contemporary king bed, faced the outdoors so you woke up overlooking the lake and pines.
Serene...

Even though I spent my day gaining health, strength and calmness in the FABULOUS spa…
The nights were cool and beautiful, wine tasting was a blast, the chef, "Big Red" is from New Orleans and is a great chef.
Huge pool with tons of lounge chairs, 2 out door spas, food and drink bar, walking trails, private beach area and fireside chats down by the lake.

O back to the spa, the perfect treat for us TOSers and all who want to relieve the stress of everyday life.
A get away, luscious pampering with an incredible health club and even classes from tai chi to cardio.
Spent my whole morning doing what I do best, exercise and glide my nerves then sit in the steam shower, Jacuzzi and finish off with a cold 100 jet shower. Phil did his thing of reading the paper and walking to the bakery.
All amenities included in te spa:
Cedar oil shampoos’, conditioners, lotions, razors, toothbrushes, luxurious towels, and lockers.
And the best part, pitchers of ice-cold lemon sliced and cucumber water for cleansing & refreshing internally.

Back at home in the heat & stress of things again with attorneys and daily function.
The pain and aching has set in 2 fold to wear I’m throwing up.
Is it, too much wellness, exercising my nerves and cardio, getting off Lexapro, cancer back or…?
Could it be fibromalagia?
Cancer screenings are coming up the next 2 weeks to rule that sucker out.
I wanna go back.

So check out http://www.laresort.com/lars/default.htm when you get a chance

It sounds really nice.
Maybe you got too relaxed and released a lot of toxins??
Did you take a lot more or longer -hot tub/showers/whirlpool than you normally do at home?

Totally just guessing on a theory or reason-
or maybe you caught a flu bug??

sounds great

Olecyn,

This sounds like a great place!

Hmmm....how to get there? My daughter is renting a van that holds 10 complete with driver for 8 hours which is costing $500.

That is $50 each way if we had 10 people.

sounds wonderful !

Jo

I'm thinking the release of toxins, and doing too much wellness with the TOS.

just a thought

Some people are bothered by a drop in the barometric pressure.

Going from the (although Arrowhead is not too high) mountains to nearly sea level
there may have been a change in the barometric pressure.

Dr Ellis told me that a drop in barometric pressure might flare me.

I Knew That

why didn't I think of it?
too much spa and health club vs the altitude
cool to heat
