Lyrica and withdrawals

Hi , Sorry for another Lyrica post but gotta find out about this. Been in Withdrawal and had all kinds of weird things going down. Now have burning pain on scalp which is very tender and when I wash my hair breaks out in a pink blotchy rash on head and over forehead ,which goes away, but area very sore and tender. Can't bear to put my hat on at times. Has anyone had similar reactions ? Doc believes Lyrica best thing since sliced bread so no help there.

Hope someone can reassure my I'm not going nuts.

Regards

I have absolutely no experience with this medication but I just read some of your posts and you're having a really bad time by the sound of it.

If you get "skin redness, blisters, hives, rash" you need to call your doctor or another doctor if your own doctor won't listen.

The information says this can happen when starting the medication, but if you're getting it now, I'd still talk to a doctor about it.

Nick, You do have the option of picking one of those you've started and just sticking with it as most other posters do—especially since the topic of all of them is essentially the same—your ordeals/symptoms with Lyrica withdrawal. It's easier for some to follow, refer back to earlier posts, and try to make sense of one continuing discussion rather than trying to find what you've said before among several threads.

It's your choice though.

Lyrica , reaches a low.

Hi , I think I've reached rock bottom with the Withdrawal and could do with some encouragement. Some people call it Hell and I've got to concur. I have got dreadful anxiety affecting Gut ,neck ,head in particular. Spasms in bowel seem to affect back of neck and cause spasms in scalp which create a burning pain on scalp that is very hypersensitive. Feel full of tension and can't relax . It's also affecting my TMJ with the muscle spasm. This is not me . Need to get my life back . Doc suggests dropping another 25 mg and upping diazepam for a week. Don't trust doc anymore as it was him who put me on it saying it would only make me a bit dizzy. Plse drop me a line . Anyone else had similar experience ? It would be good to hear from you .

Regards

lyrica withdrawals - how long does it last?

i have been taking (only) 1 x 150 mg of lyrica for the past 4 years at night - before i went to sleep, but I noticed it stopped helping me sleep, and i woke up with a headache each morning - so I quit taking it.

I am on my 2nd week since I stopped taking the drug.

I go to sleep easily, but wake up within an hour or 2 and then can not go back to sleep ...

i looked into lyrica withdrawal symtoms and see that insomnia is one of them.

But how long will this last? Will I ever be able to sleep through the night again?

thanks for your input.
