Bending over

So after much trial and error I have figured out that bending over makes everything worse... is it just me or do others have this same issue?

I used to have this problem. I had to learn to squat or stoop to reach down rather than lean over. I thought it was the head movement but never figured it out for sure.

Went away Mark?

Bending over or having my head down (lower than my butt!) for even a couple seconds makes my head pain dramatically worse. The pressure and pain in my head is unbearable and its one of the very few ways that I can come close to throwing up. (I'm not one to part with my food easily ;) )

I try to kneel or squat, but I also have a very old knee injury and my knee complains loudly for days if I kneel or squat.

Many of my hobby farm activities require being down low... sometimes I can get away with sitting right on the ground and sometimes on a low bench... but often I just have to bend over and just be sad about it and try to cope.

No one has been able to identify a neck injury on me, which I find a bit surprising since I fell directly on the top of my head from over 6 feet, at speed onto frozen uneven ground. The physiatrist, 3 different physiotherapists, a chiropractor, neurologist have all said my neck is fine.

For the longest time I would just get dizzy and horrible pain... now all the sudden I am getting nauseous and I don't part with food easily either...

Holy cow... on your head from 6 feet... how long ago?

No problem when I squat rather than bend over.

I can't bend down without giving myself a crazy vertigo.

I had to grieve that speedy tying of your shoelaces as you go rushing out the door to some fun event.

My fall was almost 2.5 years ago now. And technically my butt was at 6 feet and my head above that, but close enough. I was riding a horse that was 6 ft at her back. (17.3 Clyde for the horse folk on the board)

Like Mark, I tend to squat rather than bend over whenever possible. Bending over causes me to feel nauseous and dizzy. It also increases the pressure that I feel behind my right eye (this is currently my most painful symptom), although I have no clue why that would happen from bending over.

I can't lay on my side, either, or I instantly become dizzy and sick. Well, not instantly, but within 30 seconds. I hate it. I used to be a side sleeper.
