To the Psychologist this week for DS2

Well, this week is a full week for my DS2, my little SillyYak... (and for me, last week was Dr. Fasano for ds3, now this week is ds2's mental and dental health...)

After after 21 months Gluten Free, my ds2 still has some very disturbing behavior problems. And after much study, over the last 4 years I've decided he needs evaluation by a professional.
My dh left for England on a last minute business trip, so he will be unable to attend our 1st meeting with the psychologist this week.
I don't know what to expect. I just know I'm supposed to insist on neuropsych testing.

This will be the day after he goes to the pediatric dentist for a replacement filling. Poor kid was put under General Aneathesia in November to repair a lot of cavities and put sealants on. Now, in March our family dentist tells us that one of the fillings is out. Well, there will not be GA this time, but instead they will strap him down in a papoose and he will have his first experience with numbing needles. Poor little boy...

My dh was supposed to take him to the dentist Wednesday as well.

Yikes! (((Hugs))) to you; and him!
I know my littlest responds better when dh takes her in. They both hate it, but it is easier.

I hope you have some help with the other kids so you can concentrate on ds2!

I strongly suggest that you talk to Karen before you take your child in.

Her child was harmed by this type of professional. She is extremely aware of legislation and all kinds of stuff to be on the lookout for if you go in.

She posts only at BT.

We are working on a Sensory Intergration Disorder, at least it has a name. Testing will commence soon.
