"The results are in, and according to a recent report comparing the safety records of all multiple sclerosis (MS) drugs on the market, Tecfidera took the top safety prize. The report reveals that newer MS drugs received high marks for safety, while older interferon drugs had more reported side effects."

This is good news for you Kelly.
Here's hoping it's as effective as it is safe.. |
I continue to take Tec but I have not noticed any improvement. I don't really think it's designed to show symptom improvement. But it would be nice to have! It's just like taking one of the shots......you do it because it's supposed to slow progression.

I stopped everything because I kept having allergic or just plain horrific reactions to it. I living dmd free and my MRI's haven't changed any. Im happier living dmd free. No more daily, every other day shots, or little miracle pills. Im so happy if its working for you though. It works for some.

I also happen to be on Tec *but*
I think a big thing to remember is this list(and all other lists/reports) is they are comprised of overall safety, effectiveness, etc, meaning "add it all up and figure out the overall results ie. "on average..." We are unique human beings with unique responses and needs. We need to do our own research, consult our personal trusted medical advisor who is well versed in our medical care and find the drug that may work for you (the individual) with the least amount of side effects. Sort of like saying the average American household is: middle class, mid-30s, has some post high school education & has 2.5 kids. If you look at a group of 100 people, a bunch would not fit that description ;) |
