why can't I tell the difference between dreams and being awake

when I wake up from my real dreams I remember almost the whole dream and it freaks me out for some reason. I also wake up shaking. Does anybody else have this problem with dreams and how do they possibly get a good night's sleep

I wonder if your meds have anything to do with this issue.
