Wellbutrin
 

Anyone tried this? Thinking of asking my doctor for it to counter weight gain caused by Lyrica.

Cymbalta and Lyrica have worked wonderfully on my neuropathic pain.

Big downside is the 20lbs I have put on since PCS and meds.

Have tried to come off Cymbalta/Lyrica combo 4 times now but am very reluctant to. Each time I try earache, tinnitus, cheek ache, toothache and headache returns.

Hoping that if I add Wellbutrin in it will counteract weight gaining effects of Lyrica.

The quick research I just did suggests Wellbutrin can cause weight gain OR weight loss. Sounds like a crap shoot.

From what I have read it is prescribed with Lyrica in order to counteract its side effects. It also has pain killing qualities so I am thinking of replacing Cymbalta with it.

I just goggled Wellbrutin and weight gain / loss. It may have a more specific interaction with Lyrica that I did not find. I looked at the respected web sites, not the blogs and such. Under side effects, it often said.. Weight loss / weight gain together.

Often, a good source of information will be your pharmacist.

Thanks, but found out this drug isn't licenced here - it is mostly used in USA.

For me it increased anxiety... if that is one of your PCS issues, I would not look any further into it

I've been on Wellbutrin(for depression). It gave me energy, but took away my appetite. When I asked my doctor about it, I was told that this is very common and that Wellbutrin is also used as diet pills. Why don't you try it out, while keeping in mind that drugs do affect people differently,

Been on Wellbutrin for about 4 years now, had gained weight on Zoloft.

I lost my appetite for several weeks on Wellbutrin and then continued to lose all the weight, I am sure it increases my anxiety a little but other than that it's the best AD I've been on.
