my head hurts....manicy behavior

I just got off the phone with my retirement guys was on line for over an hour. and they sent me links to retirement planning documents. I am not saving enough, not nearly enough.:(
I was freaked out a few weeks ago about the market crashing because the usa dollar was going to lose its reserve currency status. They wanted me to buy gold and other precious metals.
I listened to their infomercial for 1 1/2 hours on line and was goggle eyed when I was done. like a brain washing.
tonight I looked at jeffs retirement his is much greater than mine due to the fact that his employer matches his contributions to a limit. But I looked at his current statement and his portfolio has only had a 3% return, mine is 18% for the past year. The stock market is doing well right now and he should be earning a higher return than that. I need to talk to him about this.
I raised my contributions to the highest that I can go for the monthly for my roth IRA. Jeff needs to start an IRA, he only has his retirement account.
I am all worked up over this and should be in bed.

Sometimes writing it down, or making a list of what you plan to do might help you to let of go of the tension for tonight?

Bizi,

These are good things to check on and handle and then talk about.

His portfolio allocations can be adjusted whenever he feels like it -- no rush.

You two can talk about that in the future after he mourns his father and helps his mother.

Keep doing your job right now --->> taking care of yourself.

Bizi,

The market has been going up steadily since OCT 2013.
They are trying to frighten you into buying gold.

Gold is high right now. (It is a bad deal to buy it.)

Take a break. Jeff and you two can handle finances together.

Thank you Mari.
I have already talked with jeff about his account and he is going to set up an appointment to have reallocations done at the beginning of the semester.
They steam cleaned larrys bed room and the living room couch(which the cat had peed on)...don't know when the carpeting guys can come to do the carpet in the living room where the cat peed and pooped...they picke up some nice carpet. THAT will be an upheval few days. So glad that jeff is there to help. They took 3 big boxes full of taxes and paper work from 1943 to the shredder place. things are getting done, they did get the death certificates in so they can start to call the different companies that they need to call.
My husband is a good son.
I love him and miss him.

They have a tough job clearing up. It sounds like they are making progress though.

Hang in there, Bizi.

What helps you to feel centered, and calm?
I find lemon grass tea (infusion) really soothing.

Do you ever use distractions... watch some silly tv or DVDs, maybe? Got anything to read?

thanks waves, just started today and explains my back ache.
Tomorrow will be interesting. first full day alone and off of work. I will eat well and go to the gym.
I have herbal teas to drink if I want. Usually am on this computer and it is a distraction. I can always take an extra klonipin if need be. I don't watch tv, sometimes I put on the radio for company. I do have this huge book by stephen king, the entire book of "the stand" which I started reading on the plane this past weekend. too engaging to read before bed though.
thanks for asking.
