Sudden bad breath :-(
 

I never had bad breath. 2 weeks ago my mouth started to smell a lot. Not sure how to describe it, it's not the kind of smell that you can have from stuck food at least.

Here is my dental situation:

- I brush and floss properly twice/day
- I don't snack
- I don't smoke
- have some fillings, but no root canal
- dentist told me I have 2 SMALL holes which I can wait with a little bit
- I removed my 2 right wisdom teeth 4 months ago, still some sensitivity but otherwise I hope healing well.

So, what can it be???? I find myself forced to chew gum as I don't want to smell but I hate chewing gum.
The smell is there EVEN after right brushing and flossing:confused:

Bryanna is the best for dental issues, but I wanted to say hello and welcome.
This is my opinion and I am in no way a professional. If you have seen your dentist and your teeth and GUMS, tongue, are OK, you need to see your primary doctor. Sometimes medical conditions first present with a change in breath. I would get this appt. as soon as you can. You probably already know in the mouth, bacteria is what causes the bad breath. Get the two small holes fixed while they aren't much of an issue. Seems to me your dental practices are very good. ginnie

A relative of mine had this and he had to have a really good professional cleaning, that required two visits. It wasn't a "deep cleaning," but in his case, although he was brushing and flossing regularly, he hadn't had a professional cleaning in close to two years and there was some plaque. Additionally, he had some sinus issues and had to begin using saline spray once daily. In the end, they weren't sure if it was the extra good cleaning or the sinus spray that made the difference, but the two together cleared up the problem.You might need to visit the dentist and your GP, maybe even an ENT. Do you have any issues with dry mouth? Are you on any new medications? (some meds can cause this...as well as some medical conditions) I know this can (possibly) contribute to odors. I use sugar free lemon drops when my mouth is excessively dry.

No doubt Bryanna has heard of this before and has some words of wisdom, but this is what I observed within my family.

Thanks. I might need to get a thorough cleaning, it's been a while. Can't see much plaque though, but maybe it's between the teeth. I just made an appointment to do that, I'll start there I think:)
No problems with my sinuses, no meds and no dry mouth.
A bit of a sore throat pain though...due to the air condition system at my new job, maybe it's related?
