how can we get a thread made sticky?

in epilepsy we have a very helpful thread for new posters explaining all the abbreviations we use and giving general background information on how to understand what we are talking about. rabbit has been maintaining this thread for years, adding information as people make suggestions.

we asked to have the thread made sticky as soon as that became possible. before then someone diligently bumped it several times a day.

now she has pulled it out of her hard drive and reposted it. if we could has this as a sticky it surely would save us a lot of bumping.

of course anyone who doesn't know what bumping is can read all about it on rabbit's thread.

Annie,

You need a mod or administrator to make the thread a sticky.

I looked around and couldn't see anything to indicate who those were.

But there is a link on the bottom bar that says "Contact Us". When I clicked on it the page indicates that the message you write will be sent to the forum administrator.

My suggestion is to try that feature.

it turned out that all i had to do was ask. our information for new posters is now a sticky.

so thanks to rabbit for writing the thread and thanks to whoever made it a sticky.

that sticky is going to make thing much simpler for all new posters.
