sleep apnea

Can anyone tell me if sleep apnea is a consideration for disability? I am trying to get my disability on being bi-polar, but I was turned down (I now have a lawyer), but if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I can't tell you about sleep apnea but I can tell you that you psych Dr. has a tool that he can rate your ability to work on a scale of 1 to 100. This was what determined that I got SSDI for depression. I'm not sure what the scale is called but it worked. Hopefully some here knows the name. HTH

It was listed on mine...

Hello,

I have one of those cases where several medical conditions make up the reason for disability. Apnea was one of the conditions and it was mentioned in my award letter. A person making application should list everything, including mental health issues.

Good Luck,
Nancy
