Relations between peripheral/Small Fiber/Autonomic Neuropathy and MS
 

Does anyone have any good literature suggestions where one can study the relations, similarities and differences between MS and Neuropathy?

You could try there and see if it's what you want, but it is about like apples and oranges... Fruits, round, sweet, high acid contents but... MS is a CNS (central nervous system) disorder while neuropathies are PNS (peripheral nervous system) disorders. Brain vs body.

A pinched nerve in your elbow, tennis elbow, is considered a neuropathy. The nerve is damaged the end of the line and can't transmit information properly to the brain. MS and other CNS disorders may cause all the same symptoms as tennis elbow, however the nerve is damaged in the brain so it can't properly transmit information to the limb.

Which makes things really fun for the doctors, as one doesn't exclude the other. You can have both, an applange. And of course there are a host of various causes behind both, from auto-immune disorders right up to trauma. Just the right smack to the elbow.. Neuropathy... Major concussion CNS disorder.
