Freezing

Hello, everyone...you may or may not recall that I, myself, do not have PD but I've been the carepartner of one who was diagnosed with the disease in1999. It was shortly after her diagnosis that I joined this forum where I felt I could acquire the best information, i.e., from those who are afflicted with PD...and I was so right. I learned so much from all of you at the forum. I've only returned recently in that Doreen (PWP) is now at a point where she is experiencing more of the symptoms of the progression of the disease, e.g. FREEZING. She has tried to access the forum herself, but, has been unsuccessful. Thus, the reason that I am writing to you. She has asked me to ask the question: "For those of you who have experienced freezing, is there any medication and/or method that you have used successfully to be able to resume walking?" Thank you for any advice/suggestions you may be able to give to me. As I said...it is my feeling that we can learn more from all of you than anyone else, including the neurologist! We will be looking forward to your replies...thank you, again.

Virginia Therese
