Spinal Cord Stimulation?

Has anyone considered or had Spinal Cord Stimulation? My TOS has worsened since my last TOS surgery (scalenectomy) so we tried a pec minor block but I had no relief from that. The doctor who did the block suggested I investigate Spinal Cord Stimulation. I had never heard of it on here (and a quick search didn't give me anything) so I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

1999 - onset of symptoms
4/09 - successful 1st rib resection
11/12 - recurrence of NTOS
2/14 - anterior scalenectomy - worsening of symptoms

I think the only one w/TOS that I know of is beth, from many years ago, but she had both TOS & RSD, but it did work for her.

We do have a SCS sub forum that we didn't have back in 2007 -

Sorry to hear of the recurrence. I recently read this article (link below) that I thought you might be interested in.

Hope you are seeking a second opinion. This is certainly not easy stuff...
Best wishes -

Thanks Jo*Mar, I will look it up.

Cyclist, I didn't really get anything from the article abstract. I understand they used CT scans to determine of those 4 causes - but was there action taken? I know for sure it isn't inadequate rib resection or an intact scalene.

Regardless, I'm certainly not going to jump into any procedures without some research - though I am immediately limited on options as I am dealing with Workers' Compensation. Who knows if they will even approve any further treatment. That's why I have an attorney.

Hi Sec161,
I have bilateral- TOS with bilateral brachial plexus nerve damage, and left sided CRPS2. Had bilateral scalenectomies and rib resections. In 2008, had a scs implanted in my cervical spine. What would you like to know about it?
