saw new doctor with some new ideas

new ideas behind what is causing my symptoms.

She said waking up with body burning usually during pleasant or intense dreams is possibly a reroute of the brain's switch sending out pain for pleasure signals. '

She also said that early on in my injury, what happens when one neuron dies is that it sends out toxic material that damages the next one an so on for a while after initial injury. I couldn't grasp that part so well.

the internal tremors she said sound like norepinephrine being overproduced and excreted at the wrong time when waking/

since both of these happen when I awaken, she said a problem could be thalamus and brain stem misfiring to each other..

As for treatment she didn't have a clue. But it was something.

So Kevboy/sarasmile/hockey/sitke and a few other of you could come around one day and repair my thalamus and brain stem one day this week. I just bought a neat set of tools!!!

This makes so much sense with all I have read... I actually asked my neurologist about damage to the thalamus and she said it was possible but had no way to test for sure... maybe I need to bring that up again...

Heck, if the tools work on your head maybe we can do mine after!!!

I read some years ago that when a neuron dies, it send out tRNA (transmitting RNA) to the neighboring cells telling them to shut down to create a barrier or demarkation line so that no damaged cells try to function and disrupt the proper function of the healthy cells.

Obviously, this is not a prefect system as many are left with neurons that malfunction causing seizures and such.

I guess there is no way to know for sure unless a glaring lesion shows and there should be in this day and age. most of my issues stem from thalamus brain stem and cerebellum functions

I know when I had that attack when mixing the nardil and beer three doctors told me I had a thalamic insult, bruise and stroke whatever that means. still don't know....sara if my surgery is a success your next :)

Mark, you are correct as I looked it up and read about it. As for a part of the damaged neuron damaging others, I could be wrong as I was having a hard time understanding her :)
