$10 eye fatigue solution?
hey all,
one more potential tip/placebo. thanks to todayistomorrow, i ordered some blue tinted glasses, hearing they might ease eye strain/lessen stimulation. my neuro-chiro said that is the case and red does it even more, but i have a feeling red would heighten my anxiety :) i noticed an almost immediate reduction in eye strain when i put these babies on...and i'm a pretty skeptical person who notices every little pain that passes through my bodies orbit. they're not dark enough to use much outside on these bright, beautiful september days, but i use them quite a bit inside. if someone finds darker but still truly blue tinted sunglasses (not just reflective), let me know http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
I put a blue transparent file divider over my laptop screen and that had been helpful.

My neuro opthamologist insists I wear blue blocker in my glasses. Blue light is the most difficult for the brain to process so cutting some out frees up brain space for other things.
At work I am going to try a BENQ monitor. Check their web site where they talk about vision and monitors. Not too expensive. Seems worth a try! |
Opti calm
I am waiting to try this company. I have spoken to the women who runs it. She is here in Ottawa and is the only one in Canada and she does not think there is anyone the same in U.S.
She got all of her equipment from UK. I believe it was Dr. Alexander (probably I am wrong), who she was following there. She will try several colour shades to see what calms you the best. She also has a program that will change your computer screen to the best colour for your brain. I found her interesting to talk to. I believe the cost was $700 and then you would need to purchase the glasses. |
