This is what I dont get...
Why after 9 months (and many more for most of you) do we still get migraines and headaches. My neurologist just says its part of pcs. My neuro phsyc said its part pcs, part psychological.
Uh ok, so your saying you dont know then and giving a dumb answer to me just to say something? Theres got to be a reason, maybe someone here knows, maybe not. Would like to hear responses. Personally my take, they pinpointed damaged areas. So im assuming im getting them because those areas cant keep up. Sorry if this is jibberish, im beyond loopy today |
Even the specialists in head aches do not fully understand them. Add the complication of a concussion with complex symptoms and it is even more difficult to understand them.

True. Im just at a really frustrating point. I just so badly want to be rid of these headaches and migraines.
|
I know what that frustration is like. Head aches can drain you in every way.
|
Yup!
The reason its really bothering me is because my daughter has discovered she has a voice. She does this wicked cute squeal/scream and giggle. Its amazing. But she does it non stop and it tears my head up so bad. I so badly wish I could enjoy it. But i cant. Trust me I try. I put my earplugs in so I dont hear it. It destroys me emotionally to do that. |
migraines...
I have been dealing with them for a few years - I have seen many specialist and it seems the consensus from a neurologist standpoint is that the headache itself is neck related and can be triggerred by many things - stress, weather, diet, sleep depravation etc... most likely you have a cervical issues in addition to your head injury

Don't be hard on yourself. My sister had to do the same with her youngest daughter. It's not your daughter or you- just this hateful PCS. I had written a thread recently you responded to. How is your sleep? What medications have you taken or currently take for sleep? I will pray that you find relief from your headaches. |
Sleep goes through cycles. But the majority of the time its very very poor. I find myself in a trance like sleep almost, aware of my surroundings, but not actually asleep.
Ill have to try to dig up some of my old reports to find out the names, I just have no clue where I put them. They arent in my filing cabinent where I always put that stuff, so ill have to do some searching when I have the time. |

I rarely get headaches these days (thank God, because they used to be extremely bad). However, I do experience this dull ache in the spot where I hit my head. Sometimes it feels tight. Other times, it aches like a bruise.
I hit my head in December 2013. It's crazy to me that I still have pain in that spot. |
