Neurologist visit intervals...

I am new to neuropathy and still trying to get a definite diagnosis and the Neurologist wants to see me only every 3 months.

What is :confused::confused::confused:up with that?

Is that common?

Please tell me your story with the intervals.

Thanks so much:hug:

Despite the seeming plethora of information about peripheral neuropathy, doctors don't really know all that much. After initial rounds of testing to determine if the type (out of over 100 known types) of peripheral neuropathy we have is treatable, for many of us, the best they can offer is treatment of symptoms.

That is why it's relatively common (not universal) to be seen only occasionally, and in some cases, cut loose entirely—leaving prescription refills/changes up to PCPs.

I'm curious why you're pressing so hard for peoples' stories; are you writing a book?

Doc

Thank you for helping me Dr. Smith. I am not writing a book. I appreciate your insight.
