Eyes Burning

Has anyone else had any experience with burning eyes? I thought it was make up related but I have not worn make up in a few days and every morning I wake up with my eyes burning...

Have you had your eyes tested for vision issues? I did not have the burning so much - but the pressure on my eyes was unbearable.

I had my eyes tested just after my accident - my optometrist did not see anything - 1 year later went to a neuro-opt. - he did the same test and had proof of intercranial pressure on the optic nerve.

Now going through Vision Therapy.

I have had my vision tested and I do have ICP... is that what is causing it?

Are you on any new medication? Some of them can cause eye pain/burning.

Hockey- not since the burning started... only thing I was on when this started was Lexapro and I have been on it for 9 years...

Don't know - check with your doc. Also - did you have your eyes tested or vision tested - big difference. My first optometrist saw nothing - the second - a neuro-optometrist - compared her pics from his - showed that there was ICP.

I wake up with me eyes red dry and burning and blurry, and a feeling of pressure in face and eyes with face red. Doctors laughed at me until I showed up with half of face red and he said wow, it really is half red. I love those moments.

Some TBI patients experience dry, burning eyes due to a decrease in their blink rate.

Does it help?

I have to use artificial saliva spray because nerve damage has shut down the glands in my mouth.

What can't this injury do, eh?
