I posted a thread in the Social Chat forum about a man who is staging a one-man protest against uranium in drinking water. Here's the link:

He's been out there a couple of weeks now, and I've been told people are now shooting at him. :mad: We all know no one would care if he were shot and killed, but I would. :(

May I ask for prayers for his safety?

that is so cruel that people would resort to violence because someone wants clean water and is peacefully protesting about it.

Kathy, I second Chemar! What this man is doing should be admired, and he should be thanked and rewarded instead of being shot at. Shame on those who would let their prejudice and cruelty resort to such behavior! I will say a special prayer for him tonight.

Thank you for caring. I've chatted with him on a few occasions in the past, and I admire his dedication to protect his people. He's a good man.

It's things like this that keep me from posting in the "I'm Happy Because" thread. I truly love and enjoy my piece of pie, but I'm not really happy until everyone at the table has been served. In this case, I think of Harold every time I drink uranium-free water from my faucet. :(

However, your responses have made me happy. :) I wish there were more people like you in this world. :grouphug:
