Resveratrol

anybody ever hear of this supplement? not sure if it is just another antioxidant or somehow different than the regimen we take.

A NT site search will bring up past posts on it.

I can't believe how complex the brain is and I honestly, after doing a bunch of reading, can't figure out if resveratrol is different from antioxidants like vitamin E and the others we take.

it's hard to follow the technical explanations and determine the difference, in these vitamins and supplements, at least for me.

Something mentioned about it protecting dopamine neurons or something like that. I couldn't follow

Mostly found Res. in parkinsons room, but if it is good for them then it should be good for us to prevent getting those illnesses later

would still appreciate if anyone knows that it is distinct from what we take and is worth taking

Resveratrol is claimed to have neuro-protective effects. The studies supporting this claim are slim.

It is a heavily marketed supplement and one of the more expensive. I used up a bottle of it I received free in a marketing effort. I did not notice any difference.

There is no reason to not take it if you can afford it. Personally, It is a bit too pricy for my regimen.

Thank you Mark. I can afford it but I just don't know If it offers something different than what we are all taking now from the sticky. I guess it does if you suggest buying it
