Family vacation coming up, concerned about long car journey

Hello all,

Just wondering if some of you who have had the sensitivity to jolts in a car can go for long journeys ? I have a family vacation coming up in a couple of days and the place is like 7 hours away. I have some sensitivity to road bumps and potholes and feel like my brain shook inside my skull for a moment but I am fine majority of the time with no symptoms. Has any one of you overcome this symptom completely or go for long car journeys ? Do you think there isn't much to worry about ?

I have had problems with my neck getting stiff and the back of my head becoming very sensitive to the least little bump (the headrest nearly drove me insane cause the slightest little pressure caused head pain). It took me a day for the headache to lessen after last long car trip

In the future I am going to try sitting more forward so my head does not touch the headrest and I am going to be more proactive and take Advil before I get in the car as that seemed to help me

I have a hard time riding in a car...I ordered an inflatable neck brace...it really helps a lot...
