labyrinthine concussion vs. Brain concussion
Alot of members on the board note that the issues of dizziness, hearing loss, balance and tinnitus.
It seems that all of these issues are directed at Inner Ear Concussions vs. traditional brain concussions. I was wondering if someone might be able to differentiate the two in greater detail/recovery? It appears inner ear concussions have longer healing periods and impact vestibular where as brain concussions are more tied to headaches and memory impairments. |

I have been told I have both in addition to cervicogenic concussion. I can say it is a lengthy recovery! Slow improvement in some things....one needs patience and determination. Push a bit. Having said that, my vision is shot tonight after a few hours on computer at work.
Balance can improve, but requires therapy and pushing past your comfort zones. Ringing in ear....same as day one for me. I firmly believe that understanding your injury is an important part of healing. Best to everyone who is struggling! I think of this community daily as I know how hellish it can be. Don't give up!!! |
