Hi,
I'm congenital Myasthenia Gravis disease. My neurologist advised me to take L-Carnitine 500mg. Are you using L-Carnitine and did you get benefit or side effects from? Thank you. |

Here is the WebMD pange on L-Carnitine: http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supple...me=l-carnitine What was the reason you neurologis wants you to take L-Crnitine? Do you have symptoms of high thyroid hormone levels? -Mark- |
Hi,
I have the problem of internal fatigue. I can stand up about 10 seconds, then I have to sit down, if do sit down for a long time, then I feel the fatigue again. This is not muscle weakness. Mestinon*improves my muscular strength, but it has no effect on this internal fatigue. So my neuro advised me to take L-Carnitine. |
D-ribose powder may help. This targets the mitochondrial energy systems enhancing ATP formation.
Ribose is useful for fibro patients too. 5 grams a day to start is the typical dose. You can search further if you are interested. |
Brade, Does it feel as though you're sleepy? Have you had your vitamin B12 or thyroid level checked?
When MG gets worse, it can make us feel sleepy, but don't assume that it's MG causing it. Supplements could help, but check in with your primary doctor to see if there's another cause, okay? Annie |
I try it, thank you.

I don't feel like sleepy. They are both normal levels. Thank you for your advice.
