fish oil or cod liver oil?

Which one is better and safe ? Fish oil or cod liver oil ? I have cod liver oil but I am reluctant not take it as I read somewhere that its vitamin A and D content is very high ! I am thinking to buy fish oil other than cod liver oil. Any popular brands?

Fish oil or Krill oil is best for healing. You can safely raise doses with either. We use MegaRed Krill here.

Carlson's, NatureMade and Nordic are good companies for fish oil.

Krill oil is affordable at Costco, Sam's Club and Amazon. It does not reflux and cause fishy side effects.

Cod liver oil is made from fish livers, and may contain toxins. It is meant for basic dosing only for vitamin content. Excess Vit A is toxic and increases damage risk to the liver, and also may increase intracranial CSF pressures. It is not used much today because Vit D is available inexpensively separately. You can get plenty of vit A safely as betacarotene from vegetables.
