Big Fall on Saturday & Question

I fell down the stairs on Saturday due to a spell of vertigo, I completely missed 4 steps to the bottom. Reinjured my neck, and a good injury to the quad muscle in my left leg. Cleared via the ER, just added injury to the neck.

Here is my question? Can you have vertigo while sleeping? This is new to me since this fall, I woke up 4 times feeling like I was spinning in my sleep. Never experienced this before, but it woke me because I thought I was moving in the bed.

Yes. Vertigo is caused by the vestibular system. Most of the time laying on one side or the other causes the vertigo.
