There are limits to extra income -
[While a disabled (nonblind) person applying for or receiving SSDI cannot earn more than $1,070 per month by working, a person collecting SSDI can have any amount of income from investments, interest, or a spouse's income.] http://www.disabilitysecrets.com/res...-ssdi-benefits I guess it might depend if your Ebay sales are run as side business of some sort, but it is a traceable influx of money.. Others might be more in the know..on the details .. |
You are supposed to notify SS of any business earnings. So, if you regularly sell on Ebay, or are buying items for resale, than you need to let them know.
If you have a garage sale or sell some used personal items on Ebay a few times a year, that probably doesn't fall into the scope as if it's a business. If it takes you 20+ hours to list, pack, and mail your items--that's probably a grey area that might get you into trouble if you don't notify them. |

If you're capable of working pt or running a business pt, it might be a good idea to look into the Ticket to Work program, which will give you some additional protections. http://www.ssa.gov/work/overview.html |
