DIP Joint Fusion and phone touch screens

Hi all :Wave-Hello: , I'm a new member and this is my first post here.

I have severe osteoarthritis with several replaced joints, and recently had DIP Joint Fusion done on six fingers. Since having this done, I'm noticing that I don't have to make contact with the phone screen in order to click the item on the screen. All I have to do is hover my finger 1/4 to 1/2 inch over the screen and it makes the selection automatically. This is annoying and reduces my phone usage due to this functionality. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this as well after having DIP Joint Fusion.

Oh yeah, I also get short zaps when turning lights switches on/off. Thanks!
