At last got dates for lignocaine infusions but of course my hubby is away (military) for two of them, the hospital is 25 miles away,I have to have someone collect me afterwards as not allowed to drive, my friends of which I have v few as we only moved her a short time ago, either work or have children to collect from school,I have no idea what I can to get round this I am so desperate for some help with this pain, I could cry with the frustration of this situation.

What about a cab?

You should also contact the FRO (Family Resource Officer) for your husband's unit...as they may have ideas or someone that can help.

Sometimes churches have volunteers who will do something like that and you don't have to be a member. Also if there is there any kind of social service or chaplaincy associated with the military that could also be a possibility.

I hope you find someone.

Try calling the hospital. Most of them have transportation. I'm just not sure if you have be on Medicare or if you can pay for the service. If you have to pay it may be cheaper than a cab.

I am in the uk we don't have hospital transport here unless you are on social benefits, not entitiled to transport from military. The hospital won't let me go home in a cab as they say I have to have someone with me. And a cab would cost me about £50 😳
I am going to try ssafa ( military social workers) and maybe pardre. Just once it would be nice to not have to go through such a hassle to get something done. THanks for the ideas and support folks 👍
