Help Me Neurotalk
 

Hi all. Im 18 and have been goin through pcs for about 6-7 months with many ups and downs. After withdrawing from college Ive been staying at home trying to rest, and feel better. About 3 months ago I had another bad hit to my head and have had my symptoms worse than ever before. Ive seen plenty of doctors and my parents dont get why Im not better and theyre convinced that its all in my head. Right now they want to send me to a psychiatric ward. My question to you guys is, is there any video, or article, or anything I could show them to help them understand what Im going through? Thanks.

I am so sorry you are suffering with this and dealing with unsupportive family during such a trying time. I know it is incredibly frustrating and hurtful. There are however, a lot of resources to educate yourself, your friends and family about PCS and TBI.

There are also great resources up in the stickies for this forum. Check them out. I have been finding a wealth of knowledge and support from those who have been here for a while. I hope you do too.
