Reconsideration

Just a note to alert readers that reconsideration is not available in all states.

Some states have eliminated the reconsideration phase completely. After an initial denial, the next step is a hearing before an ALJ in a few states.

Be sure to check out your particular state to be sure reconsideration is available.
