riddle me this?
here's the scenario:
three different rsd "specialists" 1st specialist: accuses me of self mutilating with heating pad and looking for monetary gain for work comp settlement. 2nd specialist: diagnosis of rsd but stellate ganglion block down without fluoroscopy and nothing achieved. 3rd specialist: diagnosis of sympathetically maintained pain but no rsd. WHAT!!! have any of you ever heard or been told any of these things? I'm losing my grip. |
Don't lose that grip - hang on, cause this is typical. It took me 6 years for a diagnosis of RSD. I was suffering from many ailments according to which doctor I saw and the specialists were the worst. So according to the doctors in the past I suffered from the following:
1. Tennis elbow - moved from one arm to the other because my mind is making up pain! 2. Pinched nerves in my neck - had many shots for that one - NOTHING! 3. I am depressed and producing pain with my mind. and it goes on and on. Remember, keep a journal of all your symptoms, get angry and take charge only YOU know what's what. And of course - get support from other RSDers. |
OOOOOOOOO. with the mood i'm in i feel like swinging at those doctors. i thank GOD i didn't have any of those problems from a professional. now, my husband on the other hand has said some horrible things to me about wanting attention.
YEAH LIKE I WANT TO TAKE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF DRUGS EVERY DAY SO THAT I CAN FUNCTION. AND OF COURSE I WANT TO HAVE A NEEDLE STUCK IN MY NECK EVERY OTHER STINKING DAY. AND I WANT TO GET FAT. AND I WANT TO HAVE SORES ALL OVER MY BODY BECAUSE IT IS OH SO ATTRACTIVE WHEN I WEAR SLEEVELESS SHIRTS. OH AND I FORGOT ABOUT THE THRUSH. can't you just come and see my doc in champaign??? :( |
Unrouley, it sounds more to me like someone needs to come visit your hubby! Grrrrr! Michael has said hurtful things occasionally...around 3-5 in 8 years, so I can't complain, lol. But it sounds like your hubby needs to have his head examined.
How anyone can think we'd choose to live life this way is unimaginable. (I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where to put Lidocaine patches... I gave up, hurts everywhere equally badly tonight) Now comes the part where I say he'd better watch out... Kharma is a b***h. You'll hear that from me often, lol... it's a coping mechanism, I guess, cuz otherwise this world is just waaayyy too unfair for me to handle. |

thought i'd never hear from you again! Champagne is definitely not out of the question. i'd rather drive there than chicago. i need to wait now until after my next "indepndant" medical exam from the state because right now they refuse to pay for any of my dr appointments, meds, blocks, etc so i have paid over 1,000 to see all of these "specialists" on my own:mad: and don't have any more moulah. I tell ya what, i really feel for you. i don't know how you are handling everything you have going on. my kids are 10 and 16 so at least they don't need as much help as little ones. what kills me is trying to do laundry, grocery shopping, etc. i don't why your husband is acting the way he is but it can't be good for you. ever tried bringing him with to appointments or going to counseling? i've been divorced for almost ten years so i don't have to deal with that but being alone is pretty tough too. did you ever get my pm? didn't hear back so i wanted to make sure i didn't say anything to offend you:eek: i feel like i'm going crazy half the time myself. the depression and anxiety are sometimes almost more than i can bear. actually went and made out my will a couple of weeks ago. i'm wondering how quickly you were diagnosed with rsd after symptoms started? have the sgb blocks done you any good? are they talking about scs or pumps or anything? just wondering cuz every doctor i see suggests something different and i'm very confused. well, again i'm glad to hear from you. i live in kankakee by the way. do you live right in champagne? pm anytime and i hope you have the best day possible:hug: jenny |
kankakee! i live about 45 mins south! near paxton... check your PM.
