Tingling and pain in hand after tos surgery

I was diagnosed with neurogenic/vasculogenic tos and had my first rib removed, scalenectomy and sympathectomy about 6 weeks ago. I am recovering well and the blood flow to my hand is much better but I still have quite a bit of tingling and vague aching in my hand and wrist area. For others that have had this surgery did the pain ever really subside or did it improve some and now you just deal with it? How long did it take to fully stop?

I read in your previous post that you had ulnar & carpal tunnel surgeries before the TOS surgery, so there could be some long term issues perhaps due to inner scar tissue??

It could just take more time to heal , some have longer recovery times than others.

Did you mention it to the drs?
Perhaps some sessions of PT or a comprehensive evaluation/assessment might be a good idea. (with an advanced PT)

Or perhaps a expert chiropractor or some other therapy place that has a low level laser , maybe a few sessions with that will fix up the wrist.

My chiro had a LLLT (low level, cold, soft laser- all same thing - don't get it confused with LED light therapy) - and it was great for smaller areas of pain/tingling.

It could treat large areas to but would take a lot of time..

It is still very early, minimal recovery time is 3 months and it takes a year to see the full results. And yes, it does get better.
