after #5 tooth extraction feeling that #6 tooth moved ?

I had the extraction 3 days ago, it was a simple extraction, I have no pain and it looks like the site is healing well, but I have this strange feeling that #6 tooth moved. When I talk it feels like it's more toward the inside of my mouth then it was before, because the way my tounge is touching it feels so different. Can that be possible ?

nyuszisue,

That's great that you are having no pain and that it looks to be healing well. Even though it is not visible, there is inflammation in the bone surrounding the extraction site which can make the adjacent teeth feel odd or out of place. That inflammation will subside. Is is also common as the bone heals for the adjacent teeth to move a little out of their original position. That too will not feel so odd as it settles in.

Thank you Bryanna , I thought that is probably like that, but the feeling is so weird ! I do the warm salt water rinse , but you suggested the last time coconut oil also, when can I start using that ?

It looks like this afternoon I have pain after that extraction ( I didn't have pain this morning ), it's not bad but it's there. The blood clot seems to be in the hole, so I hope it's not a beginning of a dry socket, or an infection. I took arnica pellets again ( I took them on the day of extraction, not since ) can I take them, it's been like 76 hrs since extraction.
Thank you !

nyuszisie,

If the pain at the extraction site increases to a throbbing pain or the pain radiates along the jaw, then get in to see the surgeon. Otherwise it is normal to feel some discomfort during the first week or so after an extraction.

If the pain subsides and the site feels good say by day 7, then you can use the coconut oil. Just use it sparingly, gently swish it around in your mouth and gently spit out.

Arnica pellets can be used throughout the day for the first 7 days or so. The idea is to use them as you need them and you need them for healing the socket.

Hope this helps...
