Update

Hello friends,

I had a horrible relapse and developed scary symptoms. I have not been able to use computer at all, and I can only use it very briefly at a time. I am not here to discuss my symptoms. However, I just wanted to say that despite the darkest moments we must not give up. Hold on to the possibility that you will recover. Do not talk yourself out of that possibility in your weakest moments. No feeling, no symptom, no diagnosis should talk you out of the possibility of your complete recovery. Finally, do not ask for the permission from science to recover. Science changes all the time. Recover, and have scientists study you. We can do this.

Sorry to hear you have had a relapse. I won't ask questions but want to thank you for your encouraging words. I hope that you bounce back soon.

Recovery from TBI is seldom an uninterrupted journey of steady improvement. It's often the old "two steps forward, one step back." The important thing is to stay focused on the "two steps."
