Sometime replies are slower during holidays.. Thanks. I did but most of them were from 2006- so I don't think they are too active now or if those people will have the same email address. Happy New Year! |
I found some more recent post/threads -
I can't post the complete search results link as it doesn't carry over, but here are a few of the most recent that came up for my search- http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...minor+tenotomy http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...minor+tenotomy http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...minor+tenotomy http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...minor+tenotomy |
Hi, I had this procedure done bilaterally. Will your's be bilateral? The recovery was more like 6 weeks, not the 2 that the surgeon originally told me.
It gave me excellent posture, I'm still developing the muscles at the back and base of my neck and upper back to hold my head up, but I've always had poor posture. Seriously awesome shoulder posture though. I wear a soft cervical collar because my neck gets tired. I feel like this surgery compressed my artery even more than it already was compressed. I feel like I would have been better off if I had this surgery along with my first rib resection/scalenectomy. If you have already had those surgeries though, and are still having problems, it increases your chance of success greatly. |

Hi, if Dr. Donahue is your doctor, you are in the best hands!!! He has also given you a reasonable time frame for recovery. Also, just one side is fantastic, your non-surgical side can compensate for what the surgical side can't do. I was restricted in weight lifting and putting my hands overhead for six weeks.
Dr. Donahue was not my surgeon for the pec minor release, but he is my surgeon now!!! Literally a life savior. I didn't do physical therapy after the pec minor release. I would suggest doing wall pushups, abs, especially lower abs, and walking for cardio beforehand. |

Any recommendation about the operation? I have a heck of a time sleeping now and worry about that after the operation. I plan to keep at the gym to walk (to cold out to walk) and do some leg exercises and abs work. Did you feel that it helped you? |
