The study was published in the November issue of the journal Restorative Neurology and Neuroscience.

Interesting article, just shows that we still don't really know much about the brain function in this day and age.

I can relate to this as my cousin was involved in a bad car accident (hit the back of a semi trailer full speed on a back road) and ended up in a coma and a plate in his skull.
Doctors honestly said they have no idea if he will ever come out of the coma and how he will function if he ever does.

He came out of the coma couple months later and started making very slow improvement, was able to interact with people and speak a few words.

Unfortunately he passed away unexpectedly when his mother took him to China to some clinic that she found online (they were in Russia).
