Chemar I read your child has Tourette's Sydrome

Hi Chemar, I read your child has Tourette's Syndrome, my granddaughter has it too and they wanted to start her on medication that made her worse. I had learned many of the medications can make it worse with permanent damage. Her doctor has her on blood pressure medication she takes 2 pills a day morning and night. She takes Clonidine 0.1 mg. This lowers her blood pressure because many people that have Tourette's are hyperactive. It is worse when she eats or drinks a lot of things with the dyes, especially red is the worst. This medication also, helps with ADD & or ADHD. Since people that have this are hyperactive they are not able to concentrate or keep focused. So by lowering their blood pressure it slows them down so they can concentrate much easier. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Kimbo

Thanks for the info and glad your granddaughter is being helped :).... but my son is already an adult now, with his TS pretty well under control

Also, if you read back on my posts, you will notice he cannot take any medications due to MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) and has had very severe adverse reactions to any meds he has ever tried.

Additionally he already has very LOW blood pressure so the last thing he needs is to have it go lower!

Blood pressure and hyperactivity and TS are also not necessarily connected:confused: and in fact my son is anything but hyper!

Once thing I have learned on our decades long journey with TS is that there are so many variables per individual!
Again I am very happy for your granddaughter though that she has found relief.
