Exercise after recovery

Be careful to enter an exercise routine gently after recovery, and to cross-train. If you have been sedentary for a while recovering from you mTBI, then your muscles will be weaker and you may injure yourself. This happened to me and I just wanted to provide that friendly reminder.

Vanilla Bean,

Happy it all passed for you....you had quite a list.

How long did the anxiety last for you?

Bud,

The anxiety attacks lasted about six months when the headaches kicked in, which is when I went on nortriptyline. That probably helped the anxiety. Pretty soon I didn't even remember I had those anxiety attacks. They creep up in me now and again if I'm not paying attention to my body and not breathing right.

I did injure myself soon after resuming my workouts after a 4-month pause. I think I ruptered a disc in my lower back, though it was outside of the gym. What an easy injury! My left leg and the left side of my body hurt for a couple of days, then I started doing some exercises to fix my posture, and after a total of about 10 days I was completely pain-free. I wish brain injuries healed this fast too (still struggling with a concussion from 6 months ago). :)
