Obtaining Life Insurance - small fiber neuropathy

Hi, First time poster here. I have had idiopathic small fiber neuropathy since I was 22 (almost 14 years now).

I have a frustrating situation that I was hoping someone could help me out with. I am starting a microbrewery with a partner. As part of the business loan we need, the bank has required that we each acquire life insurance for the full amount of the loan ($250K).

I have now been denied life insurance by 2 companies due to my small fiber neuropathy. This is obviously frustrating as it is setting back our business opening, and only more so since my condition, although painful and progressive, is not life threatening. I don't understand if these companies just don't understand the diagnosis, or what.

Anyway, has anyone else been successful in getting life insurance with a similar diagnosis? How did you do it? Who did you use?

Thanks,
Sean

Update?

I was curious if you were able to obtain the health insurance?

Do you still have the same symptoms for 14 years? Did it progress, stay the same, or settle down?
