just a thought

Is it possible that when someone has had pain for so long that you just get used to it?

Hi TBaker,
Entering my 25th year I don't know about getting used to it, but I am better able to cope with it at times. I could not cope with all my problems without daily meditation to strengthen my mind. This is not for Religious reasons, but for mental health reasons (I am a Christian AND follow Buddhist Philosophies).
Even with this I rely on the expertise of my GP, PM Team and the MULTITUDE of meds and treatments I am on to get me through the day. Still, at worst I have been close to removing myself.
In summary, I think we all find ways of coping with our pain and other problems as best we can. We have an added advantage in that we can draw on the support of other members of this Forum whenever we need.
