Hi All,
I found this site when looking for questions on NJ worker's comp.
I was hurt on the job 3/17/97 and in 1998 I was forced to retire at age 37.
I have had @14 back surgeries (lose track after awhile) numerous procedures, nerve blocks, epis, radio frequency burns, pin point injections etc. I have a pain pump installed and I am fused from S1 to T10.

Ater last surgery 2 years ago, 10 1/2 hour rod replacements, I have lost the ability to walk any distance or stand. I need certain things now, besides a wheelchair, I have to trade in my car to get a vehicle that can handle a wheelchair. I am still fighting to walk and seeing a surgeon soon. I want a wheelchair I can wheel myself.Till O need motorized. Now trying to find out what insurance company would be responsible for?
Lift for chair? Handles inside to get in and out easier, hand petals to drive (have no control of right foot) So i have some of questions and with my history I should be able to help someone else. From early on to WC final decisions.

Hello and welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I'm very sorry to read about your injuries and all your surgeries and struggles now from that.

There is actually a
Layoffs, Unemployment & Worker's Compensation Forum

There are some "Sticky" threads at the top of the forum that contain useful information and links as well. You could try reposting or copy/paste, as I'm sure other members will have some suggestions and advice for you.

all the best to you.
