Is there Nothing out there???
Has anyone had an imaging study where they have been able to visualize the area of compression and also identify which structures are causing the compression (rib, muscle etc.)? My Dr.s keep telling me that there is no existing study. I just can't imagine there is NOTHING out there. I had a MRN of my brachial plexus which showed non specific inflammation of the nerves and they don't know what is causing it. (My arms were down by my side for the whole study) I have the typical TOS symptoms. The nerve issues are only there when my arms are elevated. Thanks for your help:)

There is no study that shows the nerves if that is what you are asking but there are studies that show if the vein or artery is compressed and by what. I had a contrast MRI and CT scan with arms up that showed a portion of the rib was compressing the artery and vein. The nerve compression is a guess since they are all in the same area.
