Is it possible that OA can not be seen on Regular X Ray?

I had X Ray done, showing some degeneration in finger joints, but "normal" reports on shoulder X Rays.

I have had flares of joint pain that travels from one joint to another over periods of days.
My shoulders are painful during certain movements in addition to aching flares.
Should I ask for MRI ? ( something is not "normal")

I do have a Dx of RA as well.

Another thing,
Perhaps there is some connection between my shoulder pain and neuropathy.

I have confirmed Ulnar entrapment at the elbow, and radial entrapment at wrists( carpal tunnel). I have been recommended to have surgery for Ulnar neuropathy and for the carpal tunnel.

I wonder if the shoulder problem would improve also with these surgeries, if I soo chose.

Chiros can help with carpel tunnel release work. B6 is used for CT also. Personally, and from hearing an alternative MD speaking, more surgery, more arthritis sets in.

Carpal tunnel surgery helped a lot for the shoulder pain as well as the rest for a person I know.
