VM202 Something to get excited about?
 
Rather than just treating symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, the gene therapy actually helps the body heal.

Those who received the therapy reported more than a 50 percent reduction in their symptoms and virtually no side effects.

Im quite new to this neuropathy thing so wondered whethre this may be helpful for those with neuropathy not caused by diabetes if anyone knows. I guess the mechanisms involved in diabetic neuropathy are different to those in others?
My full time 'hobby' is researching treatments/potential future treatments in the pipeline so would love to know more. :)

IPN (idiopathic peripheral neuropathy) and other forms of non-diabetic PN are treated similarly to DPN. Therefore, a new DPN treatment could also have the potential to treat IPN and possibly other forms of PN as well.
