72 hour EEG.. So anxious and panicked

I have to have a 3 day EEG take home thing.. The test makes me nervous because night times are REALLY bad for me and I'm not good if I'm stuck anywhere. I have like the opposite of agoraphobia now which is strange. I have Kholonopin for my anxiety and to help me sleep but I don't think I can take it with the test because it would screw with the results. I'm just nervous for being stuck and not really being able to do anything for 3 days

Regarding your 72 hr EEG... you may find some advice on the
Epilepsy Forum

Some of the members there probably have been through this themselves and may be able to offer you some advice about this.

Txxxrho, it might help if you talked with your prescribing doctor and the person who has recommended the 72 hour EEG about this.

They should be able to let you know if Klonopin will interfere with the results of the 72 hour EEG.

No worries :) You won't get stuck with anything. It sounds like you're having what's called an "ambulatory EEG." The electrodes will probably be attached with gauze that's been soaked in a very stinky fluid called collodion. It will dry stiff and keep the electrodes on as you go about your business. The amplifier will probably be put in a little fanny pack or back pack. So you will probably be able to go shopping or whatever, as long as you don't mind your new hairdo. :) Some people wear caps or scarves to cover it all up. It really won't be that bad.
