Manual Lymph Drainage

I did a search on this forum to see if this therapy had been discussed before. I didn't find much so wanted to share with others my experience. It helped relieve some of my dizziness, fatigue and what I call weird brain feeling (it is like my brain is loose inside my head and just kind of rattles around in there or something).

I believe that the lymph drainage really helped me. It helps reduce edema and swelling and inflammation in the body and brain. Go to*edit* to find a therapist. If you can find a therapist that does it at a rehab clinic, insurance may cover it. My Blue Cross insurance would cover it, but work. comp. would not. There have been some substantial studies done on it with TBI, but most of them are in German. My therapist said she has had success with it on stroke patients too.

My wife tells me that jumping on a trampoline, even a mini-tramp, helps the lymph glands drain.

I've heard the mini tramp is the best thing for lymph drainage actually from a health professional. He uses one everyday.

I started sleeping with an incline. My brother told me about a NASA study where it helped or cured most people's headaches sleeping at a 30 degree incline.

I'm lucky my parents have a type of bed that does that, but there probably are ways around doing it with a normal bed. Blocks underneath? Be smart about that though.

There are videos on Youtube showing how to do Lymph drainage also.

Hello

I suffered a concussion on january 17, this year. Yesterday I had two balls on the back of my left ear. My gf didn't know what one was but told me the other one was a lymph node, It swollen and if I touch it I feel kind of dizzy, Did you find other ways to fix the lymph node? I don't own a trampoline and idk if my gf would even let me get on one with my concussion. Thanks

At the moment (one year PCS) I would not jump on a trampoline. I am too afraid of hurting my brain again.

Has anybody with PCS tried it?
