Another neck question

As some of my concussion symptoms die down a little bit I am startin to notice odd things with my neck, I am having it worked on slowly , but the odd thing is I can press on parts of my neck and feel it into my head , anyone else have this ? It seems to be increasing not the other way around. Also when anyone gets an mri do they include part of the neck or just the head , seems like they would be wise to do both... Thanks as always , hope everyone gets a break from issues this weekend.

For the MRI, it depends on what the dr orders.

They may only order the head imaged, or they may order the head & C spine etc.
I suppose it depends on how the injury happened and how thorough the dr wants to be.

Did you have an MRI already?
You can request the written report, then you will know what was imaged.

Those things you're pressing on and feel it in your head are probably trigger points. They're basically knots--bundled up muscle fibers that should not be. There are lots of resrouces on here for those. Good posture is a necessity to permanently get rid of these.

And yes, I have those. Read some of my recent post about fixing your neck and that should help with thoese. I like showering first, then massaging those TP's, w/ light stretching.

hi

I'm suffering something like that and it scares me. When I massage the top of my head when showering or anytime the left part of my forehead start hurting . Or if i flick my ear I feel there are parts moving under my ear (only in one ear). Please update us on how your doing later on.

I have this in my upper neck. If I am travelling I would rather feel the impacts in my upper neck below my skull. Then I would start feeling the tension build up in my neck and it would slightly become sore and painful as if the muscles below my skull are fatigued

The MRI neck was negative. I am not sure if this completely rules out atlas instability issue. Don't know where to go next :(

I will maybe ask the doctor to include it, I haven't had the mri yet I think in a few weeks. I am hoping it doesn't show anything it's all complicated enough!
