"Reflexes: masseter, biceps and triceps tendon, knee tendon, ankle jerk and plantar (i.e. Babinski sign). Globally, brisk reflexes suggest an abnormality of the UMN or pyramidal tract, while decreased reflexes suggest abnormality in the anterior horn, LMN, peripheral nerve or motor end plate. A reflex hammer is used for this testing. "

Cherie...
Thanks for posting this information; something I forgot...duh.
I have a zero as my reflexes are checked in all areas. My pupils don't dilate when this happens for it comes and goes. Over the last year, the nurse couldn't find my pulse or bp; apts. 6 months apart. My bp is sometimes erratic; 188/CRS. The doctor says he can find it. Here's hoping this body shuts down before my mind does... |
Thanks for the information Cherie. I've never heard all that before. That's my "learn something new" for today!
0357: I believe that it's everyone's wish, including those that are healthy (normal), that our bodies go before our minds. Altzheimers, dementia, etc., are horrible things. Gentle hugs....... |
thanks!
thanks Cherie, I knew somebody was going to have the answer. that's what I love about this site. have a good one!
